The Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra (LCO) is one of the most prominent ensembles of its genre, renowned for its impeccable sound and interpretations steeped in deep tradition. According to the orchestra's artistic director and conductor Sergey Krylov, the LCO is "like a musical instrument of the highest quality". After several memorable concerts in Lithuania, Sergey Krylov became Artistic Director of the orchestra in December 2008, and since then he and his ensemble have given more than two hundred concerts around the world.
In this concert, the LCO and Sergey Krylov will be joined by a very special guest, pianist and composer Andris Žlabis. "The Grammy nominee, who lives in the United States, is acclaimed for both his impressive technique and his deep sense of interpretation. His biography includes performances with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the New York and Buenos Aires Philharmonics, the Boston, Cleveland and Rotterdam Symphony Orchestras, and many other prestigious ensembles. The pianist has performed in such world-renowned concert halls as New York's Carnegie Hall, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, London's Wigmore Hall, Vienna's Musikverein, Tokyo's Suntory Hall.

Žlabis performs the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, and this evening the audience will have the opportunity to hear not only the music of this Baroque genius, but also a composition composed by the pianist himself, which will be performed for the first time in Kaunas.

No less intriguing is the legendary "Devil's Treble" Sonata by Giuseppe Tartini, which will be performed by Sergei Krylov with the LCO.
