Event description
Martyn / Kvist collab is a band born out of a sincere friendship between Martyn and Bertram while both were studying in Denmark. After spending a lot of time together making music or just hanging out, a common interest was born which led to each other making music. The aim of the band is to combine and separate different cultural backgrounds in a collaborative way, expressing this through the creation of original music, and to finally meet again on a common stage after a year's break. The music is inspired by jazz composers such as Wayne Shorter, Christian Scott, Cedar Walton, Paul Motion, Joe Lovano, Ornette Coleman.
