Director Gaspar Bazin is struggling to gather funds for his new project, so he reaches out to Žan Almered, a formerly successful producer who is currently going through tough times. Žan's wife wants to become an actress and auditions for a role in Gaspar's film. Thus begins a complicated game where there can be no winners.
