Medea is a foreigner in a foreign country, betrayed by her husband Jason, who leaves her and their two children to marry the Princess of Corinth. Seeking vengeance for the betrayal, Medea decides to destroy everything he loves, no matter how difficult it is for herself. Lars von Trier created his own version of the tragedy 'Medea' based on a screenplay written by Carl Theodor Dreyer, but never used. Produced for Danish television and rarely shown worldwide, this film is considered one of the best in the director's career. Rated N-13
