Meditative Music Evening | Grupė ANTEVASI
"ANTEVASI" is a newly formed instrumental-vocal group performing Lithuanian folk songs and Sanskrit cultural heritage songs - bhajans.
During the evening, Antevasi will sing Lithuanian and Sanskrit songs, and a guest from India, Swami Suddhchaitanya, will lead a meditation.
"Bhajan" means sharing. To share from the deepest level of one's existence. Both Lithuanian folk songs and Sanskrit chants, the badjanas express the energy that rises up through the various stages of human life and domesticity.
"When you sing, the deepest levels of consciousness resonate with the sounds of language and music. The whole human body-spirit system resonates. It is very powerful. As long as the mind is distracted, there can be no silence. Silence is expansion. The expansion of consciousness is presence. In deep silence, presence is vast, limitless."
- Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
The musical compositions performed by the ANTEVASI group lead one to that limitless, all-encompassing presence that emerges out of the meditative silence, to peace, rest and harmony.
