The movement and drama performance Blue Ashes is inspired by the story of the Dutch watchmaker Cora ten Bom, whose story made her a famous writer and opinion-maker of her time. On the surface, this woman's life should have been unremarkable... But fate gave this woman a big test: saving Jews from the Holocaust during the Second World War came at the ultimate price - imprisonment in a concentration camp. After surviving an extremely difficult time, she wrote The Hiding Place, an autobiographical book that received worldwide acclaim - translated into more than 20 languages, it has become a classic of 20th-century religious literature, and has been adapted into several films.

Based on Corrie's lively story, which focuses on the theme of unconditional faith in God's love, director and choreographer Laura Gerashchenko is creating a two-part movement-drama performance for teens and adults. It is a lively performance based on an autobiographical story, which raises important questions: how to overcome the pain of a break-up; how to be content with what you have; how to survive in the face of danger; how God can use weakness; how to deal with difficult people; how to be brave in the face of death; how to love your enemies; what to do when evil wins; and how to forgive everyone.
