"Getting drunk can be fun. But alcoholism is already a struggle" - Zdzislaws KorčaksThe play is based on the novel of the same name by Zdzislaw Korczak. We know little about the author. From the pages of his book, we learn that he was one of many of us - people, our - Poles. He fought in Anders' army during World War II, then lived the life of an average Pole. Normal…. Exactly. In our stage history, war or professional history is not important. Anyone can be a hero. Work any job, have any education. Our story makes it clear that it doesn't matter who you are, what position you hold, what you know or what you have. In the face of addiction, if you fall into its grip, you are nothing. You lose friends, acquaintances, loved ones, jobs, wealth, dignity... and finally your life. We invite you to an extraordinary journey. This is not an easy, fun and pleasant story. We invite you to a world where the hero increasingly sees a dark wall, and then a dark tunnel and a distant crack with macabre figures. To the world in which the hero, looking at degraded humans, says that dogs are more human. It will be a difficult journey. Fortunately, only on stage. But we think it's worth taking this journey with us. Just to see what traps you can fall into. But also, and perhaps most importantly, to see that in every moment, even the darkest, we are not without opportunities. We have HOPE.
