The exhibition "Modernist Architecture in Šiauliai: explore, create, play" tells the story of the interwar architecture that graced the city during that period and has survived until today. This architecture is very valuable. The value and uniqueness of Kaunas's modernist buildings have been recognised globally - they have been inscribed on the UNESCO Heritage List. Šiauliai can also be proud of this architecture. One of the founders of Lithuanian inter-war modernist architecture was Karolis Reisonas, who worked as the chief engineer of the city of Šiauliai between 1922 and 1930. One of the buildings he designed in Šiauliai is the Venclauski House-Museum. The exhibition combines playful experience and practical education. Installations, toys and workshop tables will invite visitors to engage in activities and learn about the profession of architecture. Children will be able to feel like architects themselves as they create, build and engage in the creative process. The environment invites you to play - to design and build houses, to build roads, to plant trees, to learn about history and the interwar period. To create new worlds and spaces for people - just as architects once created the city of Šiauliai.
