"Lord of the Flies" is an allegory of the beast in man. It is, as Jung would say, "our shadow," an ego that can be ambitious, sensitive, abusive, power-hungry, and cruel because of it. The beast is a destructive force that ticks like a bomb inside each of us, and when it explodes, it can harm not only those around us, but also ourselves.
William G. Golding's well-known novel "Lord of the Flies" will be transformed into a mysterious game codenamed "Lord of the Flies" in the performance, which will take everyone who plays out of their comfort zone, make them go beyond their limits and answer for their choices. This is a game where the ultimate goal is to meet the "beast".
The performance will invite everyone to forget for a while that there are adults in the world, move to a classic, well-known children's playground and thus look at the established communication model, rules and aggression through the eyes of children. Here, morality fights immorality, rational reason fights emotions, and responsibility fights the desire for personal power. What happens to children in the yard happens to each of us, in the environments around us, in our social "backyards".
