The play was created in 2021, to commemorate the 110th anniversary of Beatričė Grincevičiūtė's birth.
Beatričė Grincevičiūtė (1911-1988) is a very important figure in the cultural history of Lithuania. She was one of the first and most prominent popularisers of chamber singing, leaving behind an invaluable treasure trove of recordings, the number of which to this day is unmatched by any other Lithuanian performer. Starting her musical career in the pre-war years, accompanying the composer Balys Dvarionas (and later Halina Znaidzilauskaite and others), she has toured the length and breadth of Lithuania several times with her concert programmes. Beatrice was loved by everyone not only for her clear voice, but also for her many other personality traits - spiritual communion, joy of life and empathy for all living things. When people met the singer, they would address her simply as "Beatrice" or "Bea", and children would greet her in droves on the street shouting "Auntie of Music". Everyone who spoke to her for a moment found a little cavity in her soul for a lifetime...
