The first concert took place in Panevėžys on 26 January 2007. At the beginning of its concert activity, the repertoire of the group consisted of Lithuanian folk pieces and songs of similar style, hence the name of the folk music band "Daumantų muzikantai". Why Daumantų? Because since the beginning of its activity the group has been friends with UAB Daumantai.LT, a well-known producer of excellent seasonings and flavours. Daumantų muzikantai are winners of many competitions, regular participants of Ant rubežiaus and other festivals, participants of the LRT programme Duokim garo and winners of 2011. Three albums have been released in fifteen years of creative activity: 'Tenai kur žali medžiai', 'Oi gerai' and 'Mes jau kitais'. Why "Mes jau kitais"? The band changed musicians, instruments, playing style, and the repertoire started to include mainly original works. In August 2021, when the well-known songwriter, performer and musician Arūnas Armonas joined the band, all the members unanimously decided not to call themselves a band, but a group "Daumantų muzikantai". Daumantų muzikantai actively performs at festivals, private parties and other events in cities, towns, companies, communities. They play only live, without the use of any phonograms or additional recorded instruments. The repertoire consists of original, Lithuanian folk and other popular music, chosen according to the need and situation of the event.
