International Ensemble Modern Academy (IEMA) trains performers of contemporary music, broadens their aesthetic horizons, and creates opportunities for their professional development in the field of new music. IEMA was founded in 2003 as a training centre for Ensemble Modern, with the aim of educating musicians and listeners, expanding the contemporary repertoire and discovering new forms of artistic and creative work. IEMA organises international masterclasses, composers' and conductors' seminars, educational projects, and a Master's degree programme in Contemporary Music in collaboration with the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK).
