Charismatic and unpredictable piano music grand Petras Geniušas has been treating the Palanga audience to unusual programmes for years. This year, alongside the German genius R. Schumann's cycle "Bunte Blätter" ("Speckled Leaves"), we will also hear improvisations "What would I like to tell Čiurlionis today?" by Petras Geniušas, prepared especially for the Festival. The "improvisational virus" has been "sick" for many years. The audience has heard Geniušas' ensembles with masters of this genre V. Čekasinas, L. Mockūnas and others. For the 12th International Mikolas Konstantinas Čiurlionis Music Festival in Palanga, P. Geniušas presents a special gift - solo improvisations on the motifs of works by M. K. Čiurlionis.
