The poet Sigitas Geda, who was born 80 years ago in Dzūkija, surrounded by woods and lakes and full of birds and fish, created an abundance of amazingly beautiful verses. His verses are recorded in songs in the hearts of many young and old Lithuanian children.
In a fairy-tale-sounding world, made of things that were and were not, live "White tick", "Children under the lilies", "The horse in the nursery", "Two little white penguins", "Salmon", the enchanting aromas of "Night flowers", "Mother's fern" spread , "Blossom of Nuts", "Television" flies to the country of childhood, "Old Cars", "Night with Potatoes Blooming", "Motule's Song" gives the greatest gift of love to the most important person in the world.

"When I was so big that I walked under the table, everything seemed to sing," wrote the poet. - "I still enjoy listening to people sing. If you ever try to pull a line, I will respond, no matter where I am..."
