Renata Murauskaitė's exhibition "Life is out here" is a series of works in which the young graphic artist immersed herself in the memories that came back from short events, unexpected stories, people she met or objects she saw in the past. The artist carves a new composition and relates it to past impressions, juxtaposing them and merging the two distant worlds into one sheet. The artist says: "If I tried to identify the main objects in my search for graphic plasticity, they are images that are very familiar to me - a surviving childhood house, a school environment, a grandparent's homestead. I can only understand and comprehend my present life when I compare it with my past life. In my work, I revive the images of my memories and allow them to continue to exist in order to shape my perception of the present." The exhibition will be on view at S_IN Gallery (Aušros al. 41, Šiauliai) until 19 January.
