"Richard the 3rd. The Man" is a journey inspired by William Shakespeare's most charming character, Richard III. Using a practice-based research approach, we have tried to delve into his psyche and explore the complexities of the character Shakespeare constructed, to subsequently produce results with the historical truth of Richard III and to identify the moral dilemmas that resulted from it.

Through a series of monologues, soliloquies and interactive scenes, Richard III will demonstrate his chameleonic personality, inviting the audience to see the mechanisms by which he manages to manipulate those around him, indifferent to the consequences of his actions, to achieve his ends.

We did not aim to create a show of theatrical archaeology, but to find a culminating point for theatrical experimentation and artistic exploration. By immersing ourselves in Shakespeare's text, the historical context and the themes of Richard III, we have created a performance that captures the essence of Shakespeare's vision, while at the same time offering new perspectives and interpretations. Throughout the performance we will explore a range of themes such as power and its corrupting charms, the nature of evil, the manipulation of language and the fine line between reality and fiction.
