Artist Rokas Yan hosts an exclusive listening party for his latest album, with Justin Jankevičius also playing an important role

One of the country's most listened-to pop artists Rokas Yan is set for a memorable autumn. On 22 November, the singer will perform his biggest concert to date, called "Rojumi", at Kaunas Sports Hall. Today, the singer announces another important announcement - the launch date of his second album and a unique pre-order event.

On 8 October, in a special space in Vilnius - St Catherine's Church, the singer will bring together his most loyal fans and invited guests for an exclusive evening called "Širdis. The beginning of an era".

"I feel that in Lithuania, the release of a music album is still not a phenomenon that receives adequate public attention, we are as if stuck in the culture of "single songs". For me, as a creator, it is very important that this changes. Making an album is not the same as just making music. I see an album as a conceptual world of themes, ideas, aesthetics, sound, which has its own distinct identity. It is albums that are used worldwide to divide the chronology of an artist's career, maturity or transition," says Yan.

The artist's second solo album "Širdis" will be released on all music platforms and on vinyl on 10 October. In fact, at an exclusive event on 8 October, the public will have the chance to be the first to do so.

"For these reasons, I knew that I would definitely want to celebrate the release of 'Heart' with an exclusive ceremony for the listeners. It will also be the greatest gift to myself - to see everyone's reactions live and to introduce my 'baby', to whom I have given all my care and love over the past years," he says.

The event on 8 October at St Catherine's Church will not only include a listening session of the latest album, but also intriguing interviews with the artist and the people who have contributed to it. The event "Heart. Justinas Jankevičius, one of the country's best-known presenters and comedian, will be at the helm of the event.

"I'm very happy that the host of this evening will be none other than Justinas Jankevičius - I admire his style as a presenter, his intellectual humour and the atmosphere he creates. We are both lovers of black humour and the audience will be entertained. There will be no banal, promotional questions "out of the blue" - the album listening will be accompanied by a cosy and open conversation about the stories and secrets of each song, I will share details and material from behind the scenes of the creative process. I feel that this will be an opportunity to connect more intimately than ever with those who are accompanied by my music - I'm even a little excited," reveals Rokas Yan.

Tickets for the unique album audition "Širdis. Heart" on 8 October. "Heart of the Heart", which will take place on October 8, 2018 in Vilnius at St. Catherine Church, and the biggest concert of the year - the conceptual show "Rojus" - are distributed by Bilietai.lt. Tickets for the events will be more expensive.
