Concert "In the World of Čiurlionis" - a journey into the artist's soul with pianist Rokas Zubovas.

The 13th International M. K. Čiurlionis Music Festival presents an exclusive concert featuring works by the legendary Lithuanian composer, M. K. Čiurlionis. A sensual musical-literary programme by Rokas Zubovas, a renowned pianist and great-grandson of Čiurlionis, will take the audience on a romantic journey, recalling the composer's time in Palanga - the time of his love for Sofia and his walks by the seaside.

R. Zubov will perform only M. K. Čiurlionis's piano works, revealing the emotional depth, richness of colours and mystical symbolism that became the hallmark of Čiurlionis's work. The concert programme will give the audience an opportunity not only to enjoy the music, but also to hear personal insights into Čiurlionis' life, his worldview and creative path, which will be revealed by the artist himself. Rokas Zubovas' stories about his great-grandfather and his work will reveal new, undiscovered aspects of Čiurlionis' work. The concert will also feature the launch of a new vinyl record of Čiurlionis' works recorded by Rokas Zubovas.
