Four romantic sensations in one concert! Works by the great Romantics from Germany, France and Norway, as well as the passionate Argentine Tango, will be brought to life by talented and acclaimed musicians.
Robert Schumann's Fantastic Plays reveal the ideological basis of the Romantic era: creative expression is the fruit of the creator's limitless fantasy. The three plays are like fantasies transported into spaces of mood and imagery.
The concert will also feature sonatas for cello and piano by the French César Franck and the Norwegian Edvard Grieg, similar in form, but tinged with the sound of different cultures. For the finale of the concert, the duo prepared the Great Tango by the most famous Argentine composer of the 20th century, Astor Piazzolla, in which the western musical language is enriched with a passionate national accent.
