On the occasion of the upcoming Mother's Day, the artist invites you to pay attention to the importance of your mother in your life.
"I dedicate this exhibition to all mothers and I am grateful to my mother, because it is only because of her that I exist, that I live, and that I am the person I am," says Rūta Andre.
Ruth Andre on herself:
"The smell of film, the dim lights, the bright images - the darkroom of my dad's mini photo lab was my childhood wonderland, where I used to spend whole days watching miracles being made. Photography is a mystery that has been with me since I was a child, and we are still in the dance: at first it was just a craving, I took my first photos with a "soapbox", then the passion grew, but I lacked experience, so I deepened my knowledge by studying, and now we are equal dance partners. Observing the world through the lens, I draw inspiration, beauty, and a "different angle" of view, and as I travel through life, getting to know it and myself, I use my photographs to talk about my perception of happiness, love, and the beauty of life, and I bring a message of peace and joy that lies in each of us.
While studying at Vilnius University of Applied Sciences (now Vilnius University), I took part in the exhibitions "Cycles of Young Photographers", and in photography competitions. After my studies, I worked in publishing houses "Veidas", magazines "Psichologija Tau", "Namas ir aš", "Mergaitė", "Verslo žinios" and others. I organised the exhibition "Beauty and Health of Sexuality" in 2012, "Active Woman" in 2013, "Images of Love" in 2015, "Woman-Creator" in 2017. All my life I have been searching for the answer to why I am on this earth, I am interested in people, their lives, their feelings. It has been a long journey of my life towards God. Now I know that we have come to continue his creation on this Earth.
I am always looking for new photographic presentations. I use different techniques, lighting, details, angles, compositions, collages."
