"Fish don't know that they are wet" Chinese proverb
Defining polarity involves looking at conflicting behaviours or actions as separate and incapable of co-existing.
The practice of 5 Rhythms® invites us to embrace the notion that these differences can "complement each other". The 5Rhythms® practice treats opposites as part of the whole, as Yin and Yang, as shadow and light. Our polarities can coexist as parts of the whole.
The list of polarities is endless, but perhaps one of the most important and most common in movement practice is the body-mind polarity.
This weekend workshop gives us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in Rhythms that can teach us to be one in ourselves, one in the body and the mind as well as in the heart, the soul and the spirit. Accept our opposite poles, which are inseparable and one cannot exist without the other: flexibility and rigidity, clarity and confusion, letting go and control, lightness and heaviness, silence and noise inside us. Only then are we ready for integration and assimilation, only then are we ready to feel whole again.
The seminar will be held in English. No previous experience necessary.

ABOUT THIERRY:
Thierry is a certified 5Rhythms (Heartbeat) teacher and Gestalt therapist, combining in his work the elements of bodywork, conscious dance/movement and drama therapy.
"I'm a Frenchman living in Zagreb. I have been teaching the Five Rhythms practice for 9 years. It came into my life in 2002 and it has changed my attitude towards movement and being in movement. I met Gabrielle Roth first through her books and then through trainings in the USA and France. I am glad that I had the opportunity to be her student. The practice of the five rhythms is a path that transforms and moves from within. What I love most about it is the unifying dimension that it brings us to, where the body-heart-spirit merge.
I am Silvia Tomcik's spouse and the father of little Numa. In addition to coming from the theatre world, I am also a certified Gestalt therapist and have been exploring the masculine aspect of the Masculine for many years, gathering men's circles through the Mankind Project.
I love to explore creativity through music and various art forms, especially through what unfolds in the form of dance.
My work with people is based on a holistic approach. This means that I see a person as a whole, made up of his/her values and beliefs, as well as his/her age, condition, physical limits, cultural heritage and history.
I do not look at people as a set of problems to be solved. I can support you on the path of creating your own sense of wholeness, and as a result you can begin to accept all parts of yourself that are interconnected and equally important.
5Rhythms® is the world's most famous conscious dance and movement practice. It is a dynamic meditation on body movement, an earthly creative path to experience and self-discovery. The 5Rhythms are 5 different ways of moving, called Flow, Staccato, Chaos, Lyric and Stillness. These are the five states, the five elements (earth, fire, water, air and ether). It is movement and meditation in one. It is like a map that shows us the way on all levels of consciousness. No prior preparation is required!
