June 20. Skunk Anansie, one of the most important bands in the world of rock music, will perform in Vilnius on 20 June. The Brits, with their powerful sound, emotionally strong lyrics and unbridled energy, will be on stage at Lukiškių Prison 2.0.
Skunk Anansie members, who are preparing for the tour, promise that "this tour will mark a new era in the legendary band's history, and that it will also mark a new era of new creativity". Tickets for Skunk Anansie's concert in Vilnius will be available on Bilietai.lt from 12 February at 11am.
Formed in London in 1994, Skunk Anansie instantly caught the attention of music fans with their unique sound, which combines alternative rock, punk, and metal, but perhaps the most unique aspect of the band's music is the extraordinary voice of the band's leader, Skin, and the themes of the songs they play. Skin herself has described the band's music as "clitoral rock". "Skunk Anansie quickly became one of the most talked-about bands of their time in the UK, and quickly became a worldwide success.
After releasing a string of critically acclaimed albums - Paranoid & Sunburnt, Stoosh, Post Orgasmic Chill and 25LIVE@25 - and hits such as Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good), Selling Jesus and Twisted (Everyday Hurts), Skunk Anansie have sold millions of records worldwide.
In 2001, the band unexpectedly decided to split up, but in 2009 the Skunk Anansie foursome made a triumphant comeback and are still pursuing their musical careers, making new music and touring around the world. After the release of their latest single "An Artist Is An Artist" in January 2025, the members of Skunk Anansie continue to work on new songs, some of which the audience can expect to hear at the concert in Vilnius. Alongside the band's most famous hits, of course.
About the emotions that are overwhelming the upcoming tour, Skin says: "We're very excited to go on tour again and do what we love the most - play live while feeling up in our stomachs."
Now this summer, on June 20,
