The group "Smokie" dates back to 1964. spring, when a group of school friends gathered in the city of Bradford, Great Britain. The slogan "Love and rock will save the world" inspired the friends so much that they decided to become real rock stars. Soon the young people, who radiated youthful energy and maximalism, were noticed and taken under their wing by famous producers and songwriters of the time, Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman, who at that time worked with Sweet and Suzi Quatro.
