The characters are strongly motivated to find the meaning of their lives - to understand their own nature and feelings. Wandering the streets in search of a brother, wandering the night streets of Boston trying to get home, longing for the past in war-torn Kiev, and the struggle to find a bench on the side of a highway. All of this forces the characters to seek answers to existential questions.
