It was this Lithuanian resort that Stasys Povilaitis called the city of his life - after all, this is where the future star of the stage took the first steps of his career, later he held countless concerts here at the Summer stage, he lived here for the last years of his life and finally laid to rest here. It is symbolic, but even the last concert of the singer took place in 2015. July 6 on the Palanga bridge and was intended to celebrate the State Day. So it is no coincidence that Stasios Povilaitis' autograph is now adorning the facade of the modern concert hall in Palanga, and in commemoration of the maestro's 77th birthday, January 26. During the music revue "Shvieski man mād" there is also planned the opening of an exhibition in honor of the artist.An exceptional personality, always elegant and poised, a real gentleman of the stage - this is how Stasis Povilaitis is remembered by his friends and fans, who called the singer the Lithuanian Frank Sinatra. Maestro's discography includes 20 solo albums, the last of which, the double album "Golden hits of the past century" appeared in 2013. The musician has received numerous evaluations and won prestigious awards - not one for his services to Lithuanian music.
