The name of the district is not on maps, plans or official publications, but its existence is known to all Vilnius residents and visitors alike. It is like a district on the border between old and new, urban and suburban, fashionable and ancient, places loved by the young and forgotten by all. There are still myths about the Stoties district, but we invite you to explore them together: it is a changing place, full of new and wonderful things, but also a unique relic of Vilnius, a testimony to its interesting and changing history. Walking around the station area, we will look for the place where the architect Laurynas Gucevičius is buried and the place where Vilnius' most famous doctor worked. We'll stop where the smell of baking bread and chocolate used to be. We'll discover rapidly disappearing parts of Vilnius and marvel at the new ones that are emerging. The tour will reveal many secrets not only of the Stoties district, but also of the history of Vilnius.
