Tango is a part of the culture of all humanity, given to the world by Argentina and Uruguay, and composer Astor Piazzolla has given it a new form, but retaining its original emotional charge, subtlety and depth. Tango is irrelevant to social classes, races, genders and religions. It has its own elemental truth - humanity, passion and love.

Internationally renowned bandoneon virtuoso ARIEL RAMIREZ (Argentina), arranger, choreographer and dancer, member of the jury of the World Tango Championship, director of the Tango Orchestra, returns to the Lithuanian stage with a new project Piazzolla & Tango.

The programme will be performed by Ariel Ramirez with a quintet with international line-up. This is an exceptional line-up of professional, internationally acclaimed, talented performers with virtuosity and stylistic diversity.

The combination of the characteristic instrument of tango music, the bandoneon and other tango instruments, together with the virtuosity of the performers, creates a unique, distinctive and authentic sound of tango music.

The programme will take you back to the world of Buenos Aires in the 1940s, the most beautiful golden age of authentic tango, with Astor Piazzolla, the world's classics of Argentine tango, and the breath-taking performances of dancers.
