The young accordionist Vytenis Danielius returns to the Kaunas Philharmonic stage with a renewed concert programme "Tango in Jazz". He will be accompanied by double bassist Aliaksey Kryshtalis and drummer Tuomas J. Räsänen. This trio of talented performers promises a unique musical experience and invites the audience to immerse themselves in the diverse world of tango and jazz. The concert will feature arrangements of works by Astor Piazzolla, characteristic compositions written by V. Danielius himself, and jazz standards.
VYTENIS DANIELIUS is the winner of numerous international accordion competitions in both classical and recreational categories. His musical education has been completed in Lithuania, Italy, the Netherlands and Latvia. In his performances, he subtly combines the sophistication of classical music with the verve and improvisational freedom of jazz. With his jazz quartet, he actively performs at prestigious festivals in Lithuania and abroad. Danielius plays the exclusive Beltuna Matrix accordion with electro-mechanical technology, which creates an extraordinary depth of sound - like the magic of an acoustic orchestra emanating from a single instrument.
ALIAKSEY KRYSHTAL is a talented jazz double bassist from Belarus, who has played at the most renowned European and American jazz festivals. His lively, energetic double bass playing gives each piece its unique life and dynamism.
TUOMAS J. RÄSÄNEN is a Finnish-born, Lithuanian-based drummer who graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music. His creativity and rhythmic virtuosity enrich every performance, and his years of experience working with top artists inspire not only his colleagues but also the audience.
