Futsal at the highest level will be buzzing in Jonava on 13-16 April with a four-team international tournament featuring the top futsal teams from Europe and the world.

Jonava will be the venue to enjoy the Lithuanian national futsal team playing against the highest level of competition, with the national teams of France, Ukraine, and Brazil coming to Lithuania.

"We will have three teams in the top 10 of the FIFA rankings, our national team is a bit lower at the moment, but we will try to fight with our new coach, I believe that the coach's return is the right step, and this tournament will be a part of the preparation before the European Futsal Championship in 2026, which will take place in our country," LFF President Edgaras Stankevičius said about the tournament.

Darius Gurskis, President of the Lithuanian Indoor Football Association, also talked about the idea of such a tournament.

"As soon as we got the right to organise the championship, we started to think about how we would prepare and what kind of a team we would have for it. There have been changes in the national team and we are happy that Dentinho has agreed to return to this position.

We have the highest goals for the national team and this tournament will be the beginning of our preparation. We considered many options, we had an invitation from Argentina as well, but it is great to have such a strong squad coming to us," said the LSFA President.

The matches will take place on 13, 15 and 16 April, with all teams playing one match against each other:

The guests of the tournament will be the powerful European teams preparing for the FIFA Futsal World Cup in autumn, which they have all qualified for by qualifying for their continents.

The Brazilian team has already been in Lithuania for more than a couple of years, when they visited Lithuania and took part in the FIFA World Futsal Championships, where they won the third prize.

Meanwhile, the French and Ukrainian teams have also made it to the World Championships, where they will be looking to do their best.
