TARQUINIO MERULA - THE GREAT MASTER OF THE VAZAS
October 16. Led by Rodrigo Calveyra, an international ensemble of long flute and cornet players, the programme will include arias and madrigals for one voice and instrumental canzonas for two voices, as well as the much-loved compositions of Tarquin Merula, the great master of music at the Vasa Court. Also featured are works by two of his colleagues from the Vasa court, Francesco Anerio and Diomedes Cato.
