Sustainable Relationships and Art | Raibys / Martynenko / Katarsis / Kuzmickaitė / Padegimas
Let's see you already on 28 December at 7pm at Stars & Legends! Artis.tv is organising a live discussion, stand up performances and a concert "Sustainable Relationships and Art | Raibys x Martynenko x Katarsis x Kuzmickaitė x Padegimas"!
During the event, artists will take part in a discussion about consciousness in art and life, there will be an acoustic concert by the band Katarsis, stand-up performances by the VLCC demolitionist and non-systemic comedian Dom Raibis and Marius Povilas Elias Martynenko, who is regarded as Lithuania's best slam poet, and the author of 4 books.
Discussion "Sustainable Relationships and Art" will give you the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the guests of the event.
To what extent does our relationship with nature reflect our relationship with ourselves and with others? To what extent does the current climate crisis affect personal relationships? In what forms is environmentalism visible in art? Is it possible to build sustainable relationships through a strong immersion in creativity?
Participants:
Director Gytis Padegimas, designer Agnė Kuzmickaitė, writer and comedian Domas Raibys, writer, actor and comedian Marius Povilas Martynenko, and members of the band "Katarsis", Lukas and Alanas. Hosts Dainius Martinaitis and Gabrielė Kiršaitė.
"Katarsis" is an alternative rock band distinguished by its experimental sound and constant search for sound. With the release of their mini-album "Dausos" this year, the band has already confirmed their participation in next year's Eurovision. The band members Lukas and Alan will play an acoustic programme with only electric guitars. This is an unexpected opportunity to meet the band members in a much more open and subtle way.
Domas Raibys is a comedian and writer, who has recently completed a marathon on wooden knees and presented the performance "Nedarbo kalendorius". He is currently engaged in two activities - he is trying to bring down the VLCC and become the first non-systemic comedian in Lithuania. In the programme he will present a report on the activities of the VLCC and non-systemic jokes.
Marius Povilas Elijas Martynenko - comedian, actor, writer, author of 4 books, several of which have been republished. He is considered to be the best slam poet in Lithuania, having won 3rd place in the European Slam Championship. Currently he is actively involved in the comedy genre. His work is characterised by naked honesty, transforming painful experiences and everyday life into funny stories. In an interview, he said that for him, publicity is a way of coping with what is happening in life, and when it is particularly difficult, there is no other way but to laugh at it all.
Agne Kuzmickaitė is one of the most famous Lithuanian fashion designers, with a distinctive style and conceptual approach. Agnes Kuzmickaitė's creative symbol - the butterfly - has already become a recognisable trademark around the world and has even adorned British singer Rita Ora. Agnė regularly presents new collections in Lithuania and participates in fashion events in London, Riga, Kiev and Berlin. She also designs costumes for drama and opera productions and has worked on more than 20 theatre productions in Lithuania and abroad.
Gytis Padegimas is a theatre director, educator, public figure, and an active member of the Sąjūdis. He has staged more than 120 plays in Lithuanian and foreign theatres and on television.
