"Valentino Horns" is a creative bridge. That was my idea and I managed to connect the two banks of Panevėžys and Jonava, and to involve the inhabitants of those cities in the action. It will appeal to both the elderly and the young, it is entertaining, intellectual and has a good ending. The director of the performance is Marius Cemnickas. The cast consists of two actors from J. Miltinis Drama Theatre: Marius Cemnickas and Jolita Skukauskaitė. Gediminas Gutauskas, Kristina Adukaitė, Ernesta Legienė. The play "Valentine's Horns" is about the absence of a missed chance.
There is a saying: "When God closes a door, he opens a window"... Only sometimes we put our foreheads so hard in that window that it's just hard to open..." ( J. Skukauskaitė). "I will say about the play "The Horns of Valentine" in the words of Frédéric Nietzsche: "Whoever has something to live for will endure any way. He who knows what for, can survive anything" (K. Adukaitė).
Today I am still worried about tomorrow - a possible new strain of coronavirus, the threats to Lithuania, the war in Ukraine, the refugees flooding in. I fear that borders may be closed again, travel stopped, events silenced and a void in human interaction. So I decided not to postpone the date of the performance and started to publicise my idea. I wrote the play "Valentine's Horns" based on two of my novels, in which I described real events in Jonava (1987) and love stories of townspeople (2015). I have always believed that actions are more important than words. I believe in the goodness of people, and I defy stereotypes and prejudices.
