By the way, Sweden - with a reservation!
About 5 years ago, Valeria Conte, one of Europe's most famous clarinettists, moved from Italy to Stockholm to live and work, and gathered around her the most experienced, professional and passionate Scandinavian musicians to form an energetic and incendiary klezmer music group.
"Victoria's Carriage" immediately took off, catching the attention of the world's most prestigious jazz, folk and other festivals of all kinds!
As the prestigious British magazine Melody Maker says about the atmosphere at the gigs:
"... Jump on Valerie's magical Klezmer Carriage and ride on the waves of Victoria's enchanting, unique and unparalleled klezmer! Your feet will soar high and your hands will clap hard to the rhythms of the playful accordion and tuba. The ensemble's repertoire includes virtuosic and passionate clarinet improvisations, exotic arrangements of klezmer and Balkan melodies, songs in Yiddish and Hebrew, as well as original klezmer pieces written by the renowned clarinetist Valeria Conte, an Italian musician who has gained the status of a music goddess throughout Scandinavia and, soon, no doubt, the world!
Group line-up:
