Event description
Vladimir Tarasov - Vytautas Landsbergis "Post Fluxus games" (Lithuania)
Vladimir Tarasov - dr, perc
Vytautas Landsbergis - poetry
Under the fluxus name is hidden a unique project - an evening of music and lyrics, during which prof. Vytautas Landsbergis will read his poetry and percussionist Vladimir Tarasov will fill it with the enchanting sounds of percussion.
Vladimir Tarasov says that "these are the artists' inner games, where they have the opportunity to play with sound, text and image for their own pleasure. Without trying to please the audience or listeners and avoiding clichés and standards. And the audience becomes not only witnesses of this process, but also, of course, its participants."
And Prof. Landsbergis adds, "Music always saves. In the hour of fatigue, too. It is almost the best form of rest. A chance to transport oneself to a more perfect world, a world of beauty, and to get away from troublesome things. Music does not exhaust, music liberates. As the music teacher Ignas Prielgauskas said, "Admire when you make something up." One should be encouraged to be the inventor, or - as our classics used to say - the "entertainer".
Music is a lot to me. In the most general sense, it is a gateway to the world, to an understanding of it, to an understanding of man. It's an opportunity to discover a lot of things: things you didn't know, things you haven't touched yet. And, of course, this is an area where I have worked a lot in many other ways, where there are various things that have been done and things that are still unfinished, but they are not the most important things for me. Sometimes I've thought about music - as a model of the world, of expressing its essence in the purest, most beautiful way. This is not a new idea. It's something that people smarter than me have been talking about for a very long time."
