The exhibition "Limbo" by Vytautė Latožaitė, a student of MA I, is like a glimpse into the future in today's context, surrounded by war, climate crisis, rapidly developing new technologies and uncertainty. Is there a place for human beings in such a future? What scenario will bring our civilisation to its final point? Through her works, the author reflects and seeks answers to these and similar questions by creating five separate narratives that threaten the survival of humanity. Vytautė Latožaitė has been studying ceramics at Vilnius Academy of Arts since 2019. After completing her bachelor's degree, she is continuing her studies in the master's programme. She likes to convey ideas in abstract or highly detailed forms, often with phantasmagoric elements. Her themes include psychology, esotericism, magic and death. The artist draws inspiration from everyday life experiences, from observing people and their interactions, or from observing herself from the side.
