WTF 2023, a programme of animated films for adults, returns to cinemas in December. Eleven nationalities share the throne in the latest WTF 2023 opus with thirteen different productions. The ultra-short films in the programme celebrate human relationships: an uncle who comes to babysit for the day reluctantly devours his nephew, a grandmother obsessed with kippah rubs the boundaries of nymphomania, a girl tracks down a character who is pretending to be her on the internet. And non-human relationships: artificial intelligence will encounter reality through human insomnia or the role of the creator in a surreal artwork. Two energetic videos will add fuel to the fire, a film that borrows ideas from several sources will hatch possessed and crazy monsters, a three-headed creature will drive calmly along the highway of his thoughts, and an atypical Spanish family will hatch a strange egg laid on Christmas Eve. "The WTF screenings are part of the "Short But a Day" series of events to celebrate International Short Film Day. The European film community celebrates this day on 21 December, the shortest day of the year. The programme is presented by Lithuanian Shorts, a Lithuanian short film agency, in partnership with the Annecy International Animation Festival (France).
