The collective's first exhibition focuses on the multifaceted personality of the jester, which it attempts to reveal through the imagery of the prophet or his visions. The multiple prophecies in the new works created for this exhibition cover the fictional figure of the prophet with the masks of a mystical speculator, an omniscient storyteller and a paranoid personality. The figure of the prophet here becomes a reflection of fears and apprehensions of doom. ".XYZ Collective" - three artists of the younger generation: Barbara Matonytė, Denis Kolomyckis and Ludwik Kesmins, who came together for the exhibition triptych "Prophet // Jester // Villain". The series of exhibitions also includes Prophet, which will appear at the KCCC Exhibition Hall. The artists do not try to make precise predictions about the future, but rather take on the role of a prophet who is constantly changing and does not stay in one body. Not all of his prophecies come true, sometimes they turn into unfounded speculations and act as a weapon that draws everyone's attention and causes panic. By exploring the different meanings of the prophet, the ".XYZ Collective" looks at different personal, political or social perspectives and chooses which prophecies to (dis)believe in the face of the tragedies of the world and of everyday life.
