Now in its seventh season, the largest Baltic video games exhibition has a very modest goal this year - to simply take on and blur all boundaries between virtual and physical realities.
The challenge is encoded in the name itself (GameON) - the game of reality bending is on! All weekend at LITEXPO Exhibition and Congress Centre:
- You will be among the first to see the application of mind-blowing new technologies in the gaming industry;
- You will dive between virtual and physical experiences;
- You will have the opportunity to meet your favourite game developers, go behind the scenes of video game development and take part in thought-provoking and highly edgy conferences and discussions with industry professionals;
- Kaifuosit from the rare opportunity to be amongst your own kind - tens of thousands of virtual entertainment fans from all over the world and extravagant video game characters in real life (Cosplay Zone)...
On 18 - 20 October LITEXPO will transform into a huge virtual reality gaming room divided into several key zones: EXPO, ESPORTS, CONFERENCES and EVENTS.
EXPO zone
The presentation of the highest quality video game innovations will be the main focus of the event. There will be the opportunity to play a game yourself, try out the latest VR and MR technologies, watch robot battles, drone races or meet the most talented video game developers from around the world. Each booth will compete for your attention, provoking you and inviting you to try something new.
ESPORTS Zone
The biggest and most blood-curdling space - we were the first to host live ESPORTS tournaments for audiences of thousands, which means we know how to make a good game! This year, not only professional teams will be taking part, but also your favourite influencers. Want to see how it all starts and ends? GameON, as we say!
CONFERENCE AREA
We'll be offering conferences in three different profiles to keep things interesting for industry professionals, long-time video game fans, educators, or just those who are curious about how the world of entertainment is being built (both real and virtual). To make sure that the latter are not left out of the excitement, this year's event will feature an unprecedented number of influencers, who will talk about the behind-the-scenes of their work and the curiosities of their everyday lives.
EVENT ZONE
If you're promising to blur the boundaries between the realities of the worlds, then you're promising to do it with the format of the event itself. GameON will be something between a good after party, an all-night game in a friend's room, a world-class conference and an unreal quality virtual experience. The highlight of the weekend will be the Cosplay performances - a competition that is so rare in Lithuania. Participants will compete not only with their courage and imagination, but also with their engineering, make-up, art, music, performance art and directing skills. It will be weird, cool and very professional!
