The most beautiful and colourful music festival of the year - the Roma Music and Dance Festival GYPSY FEST VILNIUS 2024!
A once-in-a-year event full of Gypsy freedom, music, passion, lots of genuine smiles, laughter and exciting moments. The most colourful cultural festival in the world will shake Vilnius again this year. GYPSY FEST is a social project in its eighth year in Vilnius, which has grown into a huge, prestigious international event, promoting the breaking down of stereotypes about the Roma community.
In 2022, GYPSY FEST was shortlisted for the National Equality and Diversity Awards as one of the top three most worthy projects in the category of "Promoting Dialogue of Nations". And last year, at the Revolution Awards 2023, the festival was nominated in the category "City Festival". However, the organisers appreciated the importance and size of the festival and awarded it the GRAND Award! GYPSY FEST, which has earned the label of the most colourful event in the world, promises a lot of surprises this year: many bands from abroad, spectacular performances, and for the first time ever in Lithuania the Romani Youth Talent Contest - ROMAVIZIJA.
On the day of the concert, we invite you to the traditional noisy, fun and colourful procession starting at 13:00 in the Town Hall Square, and in the evening concert COMPENSOJE, Lithuanian Roma and foreign Roma groups will present their songs.
