Every autumn, the contemporary music festival "Permainų muzika", which has been running since the beginning of the Concert Hall, offers listeners an introduction to the changing music of the 20th-21st centuries and innovative forms of musical expression, with the interaction of various arts and unconventional creative methods. The festival intrigues listeners with inspiring meetings with the most famous creators and performers of contemporary music from Lithuania and the whole world. The programs of "Permainų muzik" feature works that led to changes in the music history of the last century, as well as the musical quests of today's composers. Vigorously and energetically presenting the most interesting work of contemporary artists, the festival encourages listening to the constantly changing and renewing sound world.
The appearance of the festival in the institution's repertoire was initiated by a contemporary music enthusiast, the concert hall's deputy for cultural activities, composer Loreta Narvilaitė.
