Juozas Mantas Jauniškis studied piano at the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts and attended jazz studies at the B. Dvarionas Music School, which was led by Vladimir Čakasinas. In 1988, he became a laureate of the Birštonas Jazz Festival, which allowed him to participate in prestigious festivals in Bern, Salzburg, and Düsseldorf. Since 2000, he has been a member of the European ChorAkademie, and in 2004, he completed his master's studies in choral conducting at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. He received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and continued his studies in Germany, where he worked as an assistant and director of the choir and symphony orchestra and participated in masterclasses led by Sylvain Cambreling (France) and Joshard Daus (Germany). In 2007, he conducted the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg at a conducting masterclass course led by the Luxembourg Symphony Orchestra and the EuropaChorAkademie. Since 2008, he has been studying in the intensive symphonic conducting class of Prof. Juozas Domarkas at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and since 2009, he has been a senate scholar. He made his debut as a conductor with the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra in 2009 and in 2010 as a conductor with EuropaChorAkademie (Bremen). Between 2010 and 2011, he was invited to work as an assistant to G. Rinkevičius in staging G. Verdi's opera "Otello" at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre (LNOBT). He is constantly participating in various events and projects and also works as a conductor for the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre and the M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts Symphony Orchestra. J.M. Jauniškis has conducted the Luxembourg Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Mendelssohn Symphonia, the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the LNOBT and Baroque Opera Theatre orchestras, St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre Symphony Orchestra, the Collegium musicum, and the M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts Symphony Orchestras. He also works with various directors and choreographers and has performed and recorded works of various genres extensively.
