The programme "Italian Souvenirs" is dedicated to the Italian flute school, which has a long and distinguished tradition of virtuosic technique and sparkling artistry. For the first time in Lithuania, the Italian flute metre Raffaele Trevisani will present all this, and another symbol of this school, metaphorically known as the "singing" flute, will be embodied in his music, like an Italian souvenir.
Raffaele Trevisani, a flute virtuoso and a profound musical personality, studied with Sir James Galway, who has named him one of the finest flutists of our time for his beautiful singing sound, his excellent technique and his dedication to the art of music. Trevisani plays a 14K golden Muramatsu flute, which belonged to Sir James Galway and was given to him in 1992 for his artistic talent.
On stage with this music great will be flute players from Latvia and Lithuania - Ilze Urbanė and Justinas Mačys, who have been participating in Trevisani's masterclasses in Italy for a number of years. This concert is a feast of virtuoso flute music, a celebration of the friendship between the master and his students, and a celebration of Raffaele Trevisani's 70th birthday in Lithuania.
