Sounding Water is a virtuoso program of piano music that creates meditative peace. The program features piano program works by six composers: the romantics F. Chopin, F. Liszt, the French impressionists C. Debussy, M. Ravel, the painter M. K. Čiurlionis and the multifaceted colorful Z. Bružaitė. All of them are inspired by water, the source of life, leading a colorful musical journey through lakes, seas and oceans. The compositional language of each piece gives voice to the emotions caused by water: joy - when watching a gushing spring or fountain, peace - when looking at the floating surface of a lake, excitement - when sailing a ship during a raging storm, mystery - when listening to the song of a mythical creature, a mermaid.
The performer of the program is international competition laureate pianist MILDA UMBRUSEVIČIŪTĖ, who actively performs as a soloist and member of chamber ensembles. Her solo programs were performed at the following festivals: "Kristupo's Summer", "Lithuanian Pianist's Spring" in Vilnius, "Musical Fridays" in Gelgaudiskis Manor, "Piano Music Summer in Druskininkai", "Voices of the World" in Palanga. As a soloist, M. Umbrusevičiūtė performed in Italy, the Czech Republic, Finland, and Great Britain.
M. Umbrusevičiūtė is a graduate of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, studied under prof. In Halina Radvilaitė's class. He deepened his performing arts studies at the Sibelius (Finland) and Janaček (Czech Republic) music academies.
