The Klaipėda String Quintet is a collective of five professional musicians, each of whom has solid professional achievements in their creative biography. Members of the quintet play in the Klaipėda State Music Theater and Klaipėda Chamber Orchestras, and perform in ensembles. The quintet consists of Regina Sarkisova, a violinist with a warm velvety sound, and Aidas Strimaitis, who practices innovative music standards, violist Gintaras Stabuliauskas, quiet in words but expressive in musical language, Stanislav Petchenko, who uses the entire color palette of cello music, and the initiator of the quintet's ideas, Akvilė Petrauskaitė (double bass). Cultivating a high professional level and a delicate musical taste, the members of the quintet perform in opera productions, dance performances and musicals, perform symphonies, large forms, chamber and contemporary music.
The love of music and the diversity of genres led musicians with extensive stage experience to gather in a chamber ensemble. The musicians present a wide range of musical styles and genres, from the philosophical baroque to the daring harmonies of today's jazz. The musicians perform on the stages of Lithuania and Europe, their concert tours reach the music halls of Brazil and China. The main motto of the collective is that music has neither geographical nor national borders, it is not subject to time.
