The performance for teenagers "Navel of the World" is inspired by William Golding's novel "Lord of the Flies" and is based on the current affairs of today's youth. Director Agnė Sunklodaitė analyzes the world of teenagers, their fears and the nature of cruelty. How do our baser instincts creep in and overshadow what makes a person human? Where does cruelty come from? How does power leadership and the desire to bully others arise in a child's consciousness? What is humanity? What breeds fear and hatred? Where does unlimited power and the desire for it lead? According to the developers, today these questions are particularly relevant again. We live in a world where tolerance and compassion are loudly escalated, but in reality we constantly face cruelty, intolerance and bullying. In the performance, the audience will not only be able to observe the progress of the performance, but also express their thoughts, search for answers to relevant questions together with others, and make decisions.
