More than 100 years after the death of M. K. Čiurlionis, his work is still a source of inspiration for many artists. The beauty, fragility and greatness of the music of the Lithuanian genius will be revealed by two masters of jazz and improvisational music - Dmitrijus Golovanovas and Janas Maksimovičius.
In this improvisational interpretation of Čiurlionis, the performers consciously refuse jazz stereotypes, instead using elements of authentic Čiurlionis music. In some places, the finished works are expanded and developed into larger forms, and in some places, the motifs of Čiurlionis' music become a springboard for the performers' intellect and a canvas for the picture of Čiurlionis' world of symbols and fantasies.
Both musicians are one of the most prominent performers of improvisational music and jazz in the country, both have many concerts on the most important stages of the country in their biographies, endless collaborations with foreign artists and a wide geography of foreign concerts, but the most important thing for them is live musical communication with the listener "here and now", experiencing every second and music is born right here, and the listener becomes a participant.
