“4 Victors” is a dance and circus performance, at the heart of which lies the spirit of the Olympic Games, as embodied in the Olympic flame and Olympic rings, celebration, unity and the aspiration to be the one and only winner. But what if at the heart of the Olympic Games there were neither sport in general nor specific sports, but rather dance and circus, as well as a playful and creative approach to physical expression and the phenomenon of sport at large?
The performance offers a unique interpretation of sports, emphasizing the importance of playfulness and inventiveness in crafting new pathways and new rules for competition and cooperation, whether acting alone or in a group. Behind every performer in this show, as with every professional athlete, there is a unique individual with their own stories, motivations and intentions. Thus, “4 Victors” offers not only an anonymous abstract interpretation of the phenomenon of sport through dance and circus but also serves as a reminder to all of us that, through creativity and play, we can all realize our unique potential. That we are all winners. That we are Victors.
