“Nuepiko” is a dance company from Kaunas which began its creative work in 2016. Not only is the company involved in creative dance performance productions, collaborating with Lithuanian and international performance art and cultural institutions and organizations, but it also actively participates in educational, community-driven initiatives promoting contemporary dance, seeking new formats for developing its creative activities. Although the company’s composition is currently all-male, this is more a reflection of the company members’ shared creative vision and values than a conceptual decision. “Nuepiko” is open to fresh ideas, new forms of activity and collaborative opportunities. For their creative practice, the company and its members have been awarded or nominated for the most important Lithuanian and Kaunas city stage arts prizes.
