Clarinet player Rimvydas Savickas and pianist Marija Mirovska present a new program in which - 20th century French and American music. In the concert hall of the town hall, the well-known sonatas of F. Poulenc and C. Saint-Saens will be played, together with the relatively rarely performed opus of L. Bernstein. Tonight's special piece at the Town Hall is Aaron Copland's sonata, originally written for violin and piano duet, but later arranged by the composer himself for clarinet and piano. The French-American Sonatas program reveals the delicate and multi-colored beauty of the clarinet and piano duet. In the works of this program, the 20th century in music, the styles of past eras interact in every way: from romantic echoes in the harmonies of C. Saint Saens's sonata to neo-baroque and folk sounds in A. Copland's sonata.
