Tomorrow KOSMO Industries opens the doors of its community to the public in the form of an exhibition at Artifex Gallery. The founders of the community are three artists of the younger generation, like-minded people with a nostalgic fascination for the boundless expanses of space. The main theme of the exhibition is the fusion of Lithuanian and space pop culture, which is transformed into objects and spatial installations. Nostalgia and light irony as a catalyst pushes the team of artists forward to dream and create a dreamlike journey through the universe of an independent Lithuanian republic. The company's most ambitious project, the satellite Bird's Milk 321, is in the spotlight, sending a signal of hopes and dreams to other satellites and to the Earth. Icons of the past, like the replica of Juozas Mikėnas' "The First Swallow", are subtly transformed once again, and Puntukas is already embarking on his own journey. The exhibition is accompanied by a small paper that has been lingering in his pocket for a long time, a shimmering "swallow" that spreads its wings throughout the exhibition spaces. The Artifex Gallery (Gaono g. 1, Vilnius) will be open until 16 January.
